Where skill meets awareness -
Become the paddler you’d want to follow
Become the paddler you’d want to follow

Whether you’re starting your whitewater journey or ready to take your skills to a professional level, our training pathways give you the confidence and qualifications to safely lead others in moving water.
At JOIN, we don’t just train paddlers - we grow guides.
Our whitewater training programs blend technical skill, leadership development, and embodied awareness.
We believe the best guides are grounded, skilled, and connected - to themselves, their crew, and the river.
What We Offer

Whitewater Canoe / Kayak Guide & Instructor Training
Train to become a Paddle NSW accredited Whitewater Guide or Instructor, gaining the nationally recognised qualifications you need to work in outdoor education or commercial guiding.
Learn to read rivers, manage risk, coach others, and embody calm leadership in dynamic environments.

Swiftwater Rescue 2 Course
Build the rescue and safety skills that make you a trusted paddler and team member.
This course teaches practical techniques for self-rescue, partner rescue, rope work, and moving safely in whitewater environments.

Kayak Comfort & Rolling Sessions
This session is all about getting comfortable being upside-down — literally.
We’ll work through high and low braces, hip flicks, T-rescues, and build towards mastering your Eskimo roll.
We integrate breathwork and mindfulness to help you stay calm and embodied under pressure, and we balance every dunking with playful time on the rapids - so your nostrils get a chance to dry out.
