A Wildwater Paddling Bushcraft Immersion
This experience is a great opportunity for you to connect back to the source of all. A deep whitewater journey woven with teachings of fire making, shelter building and bushcraft. Immerse together into nature whilst developing a deeper way of being and coexisting within the natural world.
Across nine days on the Nymboida, Boorimbah and Clarence Rivers, you’ll paddle through pristine gorges, navigate whitewater, and live simply in community, carrying everything you need to survive, thrive, and connect.
Each day we weave immersive bushcraft practices into the rhythm of the river journey.
The journey is co-facilitated by Tamika Simpson. With a lifetime experience in the Australian bush, fishing, hunting and moving across the landscape, it was a natural progression to facilitate family bushcraft camps and solo wilderness immersions. More recently Tamika was a participant on Season 2 ALONE Australia, a survival challenge, lasting 53 days unsupported in the cold climates of Aotearoa.
A Day on the Journey
Canoes are paddled in pairs, creating a perfect container for trust, communication, and shared decision-making.
The Nymboida and Clarence Rivers offer safe drop-pool style rapids, meaning capsizes are harmless fun — with time to regroup, reflect, and try again.
Days unfold with a blend of:
- Bush craft and Skill development
-
Excitement of Paddling rapids
-
Spacious still-water moments
- Fire Making/ Shelter Building/ Fish trap weaving
-
Rest + laughter
Nights bring starlit skies, campfire conversations, and the depth that arrives when people drop their masks and meet as they truly are.
